I recently spoke in a marketing class at my alma mater and as wide eyed stared back at me the memories came flooding back of just how it felt to be sitting in that classroom in those shoes.

I am a go-getter, type-a personality and I craved success and the ability to know right then at the age of 19 exactly what my passion in life was and what my career looked like.

Today, working as a young professional in the fast-paced, ever-changing world of digital marketing I can say I found my passion. And to be honest that “passion” is an accumulation of those college years and every year before and after that. Every experience I had, every project I worked on, every committee or organization I was a part of helped mold who I am and where I am at today.

So for all the college students out there, I am here to tell you you don’t have to know what you want to do with the rest of your life. You just have to know what interests you and inspires you to learn more. That will lead to the discovery of what you are really good at and how you can excel in your career.

Get out there, get involved however you can (and want to) and enjoy these few short years of college freedom. The real world is a whole new exciting chapter, but it’s not going anywhere so don’t rush to get there. Figure out who you are and all of the pieces tend to fall in place.
