In many organizations, the first step toward advancing a more durable measurement roadmap is educating stakeholders on how the privacy-first digital media ecosystem works, what’s changing, and outlining clear best practices and next steps for building durable data and measurement programs.

Digiday has announced its finalists for the 2019 Digiday Worklife Awards, and PMG is proud — as much as a parent is when their kid has just learned to ride a bike — that it is among the handful of companies up for the Best Employer for Parents honor. This is the third year in a row PMG is up for an award in the competition, and the first time it’s been nominated in this category.

Being recognized for this is especially important for the company because we see PMG employees as more than strategists, designers, engineers, analysts, etc. — they are partners and spouses, and increasingly, moms and dads with daughters and sons.

Being a great employer for parents matters to PMG. Not just because it fits our human-centric values as a company, but also because it’s good business. The market for digital talent is thin and competitive. Creating a culture that allows for team members to be employees and parents allows PMG to retain talented people who have to juggle significant non-work responsibilities.

“Being a great employer for parents demonstrates to younger, not-yet parents on our staff that PMG’s commitment to people is real,” said Chris Sinclair, VP of people operations at PMG. “PMG is a place where they can build both their career and family because the company understands life is more than just about a job. This is a big factor [for] why PMG enjoys a uniquely high employee retention rate.”

Other finalists include LoopMe, Forsman & Bodenfors New York, Hanapin Marketing, Dstillery, and Vox Media. Digiday will announce the winners of this and other categories on October 1st.
