I have the privilege of spending my work days surrounded by a vast number of uniquely talented individuals. The intellectual horsepower of my co-workers is astonishing. If I don’t know how to do something, I guarantee that one of the other 59 people I work with will.

Co-workers can be your most valuable resource. Here are 3 pieces of advice that have served me well over the years:

1. Know your co-workers’ skills
The sooner you learn your co-workers skills the better.

2. Let your skills be known
What do your co-workers need that your skills can provide.

3. Turn Competition into Collaboration
Competition is healthy but collaboration is more productive. The end goal is to deal with problems in the most productive way possible.
