Today, Ad Age named PMG #1 on its annual list of Best Places to Work, the company’s sixth year in a row to be recognized on the list. The Ad Age Best Places to Work list celebrates leading companies in advertising and marketing for their commitment to creating a great place to work — from fostering an inclusive workplace and empowered culture to offering exceptional employee benefits and perks, flexibility for working parents, fair pay, and so much more.

“This award is a huge honor and something we [are] exceptionally proud of earning in 2020. Even as we have expanded our team, we’ve stayed true to our values to maintain a culture that [our employees] love and are proud to be a part of,” says George Popstefanov, CEO and Founder of PMG.

PMG ranked #1 on this year’s list among companies with over 200 employees. Earning a spot on the list has been an incredible achievement every year, but even more so in the wake of the tumultuous events of 2020. Throughout the past year, PMG held true to its values and found new ways to support and invest more in our people — introducing new employee-led initiatives and ERGs, rolling out extended benefits for working parents, designating “no meeting Fridays” and mental recharge days, and providing work from home stipends for employees, to name a few.

PMG is a proud industry leader in employee engagement, ending 2020 with a 90% employee retention rate and 89% employee engagement rate as well as serving as a founding agency member of the 3% Pledge for Pay Equity and pledging to 600 & Rising’s Commit to Change call to action earlier last year.

In 2020, we took a hard look at ourselves and acknowledged where we’d fallen short on Diversity and Inclusion, empowering an agency-wide strategic initiative that has received the same level of commitment as agency business development and growth programs. PMG also engaged in a third-party audit of its pay and recruitment practices and enacted our first corporate gift-matching program toward organizations supporting DE&I initiatives. More information and the latest updates on our Commit to Change and D&I initiatives can be found on the website

Fostering an engaged, inclusive culture that’s committed to continuous improvement is of the highest priority at PMG and critical to our success as it helps us attract and retain talent and work with innovative brands. The Best Places to Work achievement comes just a few short weeks after MediaPost named PMG Independent Agency of the Year and Chief Marketer awarded PMG a spot on the Chief Marketer 200 list.
