Snapchat Launched On-Demand Geofilters For Brands and Individuals Alike
Snapchat has officially launched on-demand geofilters for both personal and business use cases. Whether it is a wedding or new store opening the opportunities span the gamut for personal and business applications.
Geofilters are location-based overlays that users can apply to their Snaps, according to Snapchat. To launch a geoflter, you will need to submit your unique design, select the geofenced area and choose the dates and times in which the geofilter will be available. Your geofence can be between 20 thousand and 5 million square feet.
As part of the geofilter submission process a user will indicate if it is for personal or business. Personal geofilters don’t include any branding, business marks/names or logos and doesn’t promote any brand/business. A business geofilter will be more advertising centric, promoting the brand is some way. Additionally, Snapchat provides some example templates to help you in the design process.
Cost ranges depending on geofence location and size and length of time the geofilter will be available.
