Introducing Snapchat Geostickers
On July 19th, Snpachat announced their integration with Bitmoji. Piggy backing on that announcement Snapchat released Geostickers on August 2nd. Geostickers are special curated stickers for select cities around the world, so now you can share your location with your snap-friends even if there is no Geofilter.
The Geostickers can be sent via chat or placed directly on a picture for sharing. These stickers are currently only available in select cities: Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington DC, Honolulu, London, Sydney, São Paulo, Paris, and Riyadh. In order to access these stickers, users will need to have their location settings enabled to see them appear in app.
It is still up in the air as to if Snapchat will be creating Geostickers for more locations in the future. However since Snapchat recently opened up Geofilters to be created by the public, my best guess is that it’s only a matter of time before users can create their own custom stickers.
